Okay, when you think of video games, romance isn't the first thing that pops into your head, mainly because video games these days are more about shooting everyone and saving the universe. But even romance can featured as one of the primary elements to the game. Well, we honor those lovely couples who have gone through the depths of Hades and beyond and still manage to come back for more!

1. Tidus and Yuna - Final Fantasy X and X-2 for Playstation 2

First off, if you are a Final Fantasy fan and have never played this game, what are you waiting for? Any fan of the series can easily recognize this as one of the most beloved pairings as it not only develops slowly, but also people no longer need to rely on fanfiction if they want to see them interact. The pairing is strange and also slightly tragic in the first game when they're separated after the final battle. In X-2 however, a perfect and beautiful reunion, as well as a good ending, is finally achieved, and it makes going through bosses that much more worth it!

2. Male Character and Morrigan - Dragon Age Origins for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC

Remember that girl next door, the one your mother warned you about? Well, here she is, sort of! Morrigan, one of the "Witch of the Wilds," deserves to be at the top of the list because her character's integration into the game. What at first seems like a casual fling soon turns into something she never expected: love. She also reveals a lot of intelligence, and proves to one of the smartest characters in the entire game. Sadly at the end of the game, the relationship can and will turn tragic, especially if you are with her. But, given the announcement of an expansion pack, you may be able to pick up the broken pieces of this relationship!

3. Kyrie and Nero - Devil May Cry 4 for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360

It may be cliché, but that doesn't stop this from being a good pairing. While the background may be lacking, we are already presented with a relationship off the bat, and play as Nero to save his little princess while trying to make his relationship work due to the power of his demonic arm. Not the greatest pairing, but in the world of Devil May Cry, it's as close as it gets! Kyrie may be the looks, but mess with her, Nero will most likely use the Devil Bringer to hurl you straight into heaven!

4. Commander Sheppard and Tali - Mass Effect 2 for Xbox 360 and PC

What starts out as a friendship in the first game can soon turn into a blossoming romance once you start playing, depending on your actions. Tali is yet another character who deserves this award for her compassion to restore the homeland of the Quarians after the Geth invasion, despite it mostly being her race's fault. True, you never actually see her face (no doubt saved for Mass Effect 3), but love isn't about looks, it's about passion, and she does have a lot of it! And while Quarians are skilled technicians, she isn't half bad with a shotgun and turning robotic enemies against one another!

5. Souji Seta (Main Character) and Yukiko Amagi - Persona 4 for Playstation 2

Persona lately has been well known for their combat and anime style, but perhaps one of the more surprising aspects is its Sim-like game play where you find jobs and build friendships. Out of all the girls, none actually portray as much as a character than Yukiko Amagi. Upon the relationship, you can delve deeper within her mind and heart, finding out her reasons for not wishing to inherit the inn of her parents. While the ending may be a little sad for some, you have to admire the dedication within this pairing. And despite her attitude, she does bring some well-balanced comedy with her brand of cooking, which, like nearly all other females within the games, proves to be deadly to nearly everyone! Add to the fact that she is basically one of the best mages and healers within the game, and you already have one of best girls of Persona 4!
