The website even keeps track of the number of bills entered by state. As of March 26th, there are currently 10,907 users in Pennsylvania, all active in tracking bills! There are only a few, simple rules that users need to abide by to access the website.

(1) You must enter, mark, and spend (EMS), in that order. Get the bill, enter it onto the website, mark the bill, and then spend it at another store. Any other way can cause mistakes, which will upset natural circulation.

(2) Do not trade bills with other Georgians just to get hits, because that will also upset natural circulation.

(3) Do not dump twenty (20) $1 bills at one store location. Mix them with some unmarked ones (you can enter them, though), so the cashiers do not give you the evil stare. Spread them out over numerous stores, especially stores with much cash flow - pizza shops, fast food joints, dollar stores, Walmarts, and other stores like these.

Money gets dirty because it changes hands so quickly, travels the world, and never gets washed. It is definitely hard to imagine how many people touch money and far it travels, but wheresgeorge.com makes it possible to learn this information. The purpose for this site is to track the natural travel of dollar bills, and it really does work. A dollar bill I circulated on March 2, 18 days later, on March 20, another person living 5.5 miles away from me found my marked dollar and entered the bill online. The website is not new or fancy, but it allows anyone to find out who had their money before them; it just takes interested people to input their bills, mark them, and then spend 'em!
