The Holy Family, the Blessed Trinity; Christ; the Light of the World; and a torch, the symbol of light and learning, are all represented in the title of Holy Family College's newspaper, The Tri-Lite.

The syllable Tri brings to mind Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, our guides, our models, and the earthly counterparts of the Eternal Three Who created, redeemed, and continue to sanctify us.

The lite of the title symbolizes Christ, "the Light of men" (John 1:4), the Alpha and Omega of our every endeavor - physically, intellectual, spiritual - "the true light which enlighteneth every man that cometh into this world" (John 1:9)

Tri-Lite is also a play on the word "high light." And fittingly so, for it is the policy of the Tri-lite to highlight and to interpret campus events, the thoughts, and the ideals of the students who aim with every line of action undertaken - "to bear witness of the light" (John 1:8)
