The Comeback We've All Been Waiting For
Gina Stanish
Issue date: 4/2/09 Section: Entertainment
During her journey, Peyton hits some bumps in the road, but the note seems to affect everyone that she comes into contact with significantly. Somewhere along the way, it also begins to touch her as well. After one final devastating blow, she starts to believe that she may never find the person to whom the note really belongs. But in an unexpected turn of events, a very special person comes into Peyton's life and it's the last person that she ever expected to come into contact with. Not only is this person the true recipient of the note but this person also teaches Peyton a very valuable lesson. The note itself is not the most important thing; the message is, for it contains the power of life and love. Not because of what she could do for it, but because of what it could do for her.
This film was moving beyond words. To see how one small note with such a brief message could touch the lives of others was truly inspirational. The cliffhanger ending, however, seemed to suggest that there was more to be told and that the story had only just begun. A little over a year later, Francis fans tuned in to watch the newest installment of the continuing saga.
On Saturday, January 31, 2009, the Hallmark Channel premiere of the much anticipated sequel, "The Note 2: Taking a Chance on Love," made its first debut. This time around, Peyton is still learning how to balance out every aspect of her life. She's dealing with not just one, but two very new and important people in her life. The first being that very special person that came into her life at the end of the last film, and the other being her new boyfriend Kingston. He is a sports writer who writes for the Middleborough Times along with Peyton. Throw into the mix her new column topic, When is it the Right Time to Take a Chance on Love?, and you have a mixing bowl full of ingredients that just do not want to mix together.
Things begin to get a lot more complicated when King, as Peyton likes to call him, asks her to marry him. She hesitates for a moment, says that she loves him, and asks him to have the patience to wait for an answer. Because he loves her and he knows that there is a really good reason behind the method to her madness, he agrees to give her both the time and the space that she needs to say yes.
