The Leopards came out of the tunnel firing on all cylinders last Saturday, but ended up having to hold on for a nail biting 24-17 victory over the Penn Quakers. This was a solid victory for the Leopards, who have always struggled against Penn. The Leopards have an all-time record of 20-61-4 against their closest Ivy League neighbors.

With a 6-4-3 double play, the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Washington Nationals by a score of 4-3, clinching the National League East championship for the second year in a row. It marks the first time the Phillies have reached the postseason in consecutive years since the 1980 and 1981 seasons, which included a World Series victory in 1980.
